Recommended Posts

I have been running my pc on stock settings, and I have pass all test like, prime 95, memtest, and now that I found OCCT program, it won't even pass 5 % of the test when it give me that CPU not stable error, so what is this? am I missing something or what?

Corsair Value Selected 512 MB VS512MB400

bad bad memory for the most part...try the 5/10 bios and set:

DRAM Response Time - Normal

that is supposed to help VALUE memory, specifically Corsair Value Select

no guarantees tho...the VALUE stuff has never run right for me on the NF4 and for many many others either.

ps: your sig needs bios version, and psu info ;)

and possibly some hdd info too ;)

Hey V! Are you familiar with settings in the bios?

With either the 3/10 bios or the 510-2:

1. Raise the Vddr to 2.7v.

2. Program your timings in manually to match the SPD of your ram. CVS usually has a SPD of 2.5-3-3-8.

3. Set your HTT to 200 and LDT multiplier to 4x

4. Set your memory ratio to 200 (1:1)

5. Leave everything else in auto.

You should pass prime and OCCT at stock. Just sounds like your Vddr needs a bump is all.

ok here I go ...

CPU FSB = 200

CPU Multipier: 9x

LDT = 4x

CPU VID= 1.4v

Dram V= 2.7

LDT V = 1.3

DRAM FSB = 200/1:1

mem= 2.5-3-3-8

the rest on my mobo is on auto/default

and I am still getting CPU not stable error exactly in 5% of the test everytime I do it.

I know my memomry sucks for OC, but I am running at stock what is the prob :S

I have Windows 2003 Server could this be a software error?

Try a little more CPU voltage.

Startup VID = 1.425

CPU VID = 1.375

VID Special = 104%

This will give you about 1.43v on the CPU

possibly try 2.8v Vddr with the above if still erring.

These are very safe voltages all the way around.

I doubt that the OS is the problem.

Here's another possible point of failure. That Rosewill PSU is really not very good. Lot's of guys have bought them only to return them to the egg for spurious failures and repeated system crashes. It's just not a quality product.

One buddy went through three of them before getting a Fortron Blue Storm. All of his issues were cleared up with the Blue Storm.

with this rosewill my pc runs just fine, I can't complain about my PSU I know there are alot of many good PSU and this rosewill might sucks but my pc it has been very stable, I leave it on for hour I even clock on 266x9 but occt won't pass but prim95 and memtest they do fine for hours. so this OCCT is kinda .y i guess very picky

yes I tried putting the vdram to 2.8 memtest was fine 2.9 memtest fail, the cpu config I made it too, so I am done here f*** the CPU, I think the reason must be my case or my chair or the table where the pc is hahahahah

LOL...nice Votex :)

Do you have A64 Tweaker? It is a utility for peeking into your memory bios settings from within WinXP. If not, see thread #2 here: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=53293 and download v0.5, extract the files, and run the program. If you can take a screenshot of what it's showing, it's possible we can do some tweaking to get you OCCT stable....
