Faxxer Posted March 25, 2005 Posted March 25, 2005 hi guys! me again!!! wow...two posts in one day...i'm such a rebel. ok, i had posted a cpu question earlier in the week that my cpu was running 50c idle and as high as 60c under running a game (like farcry or half life 2)......however....that's the reported temp that the "guardian" software is reporting......... i have put my fingers on the VERY base of my cpu heatsink block while it's showing 50c....and it's BARELY warm!......if it was truely running 50c shouldn't it feel pretty warm? almost hot?....i remember reading that at 60c you can't hardly keep your finger on it for 2 seconds....did i miss something?.....is there an alternate way (without pulling my block) to determine if i'm getting proper temps?.....and just in case....i went ahead and ordered a new cpu block and fan from crazypc.com.....just for the hell of it....call me paranoid eh? ike..... any thoughts?
