Someone I know is selling this, and im wondering wether to buy basically, this is what he says:

 

have an awesome set of Dual Channel Adata Pc4000 sticks for sale, 2 x 512mb.

 

super set of sticks that have done 310mhz 1:1 with my AMD 64 setup only at 2.85v (max board can do) 100% memtest stable, (no errors after 10 loops).

 

 

Shall I buy? Dont want to spend £145.00 if I wont reach 2.7 with them, sorry I dont know much about RAM. Why is his multiplier so low? thats a chip limitation right?

looks like decent ram... im sure it is TCCD.

i saw a set on the local buy n sell forums..

for 235$ CAD shipped. i was gunna pick them up.

but i didnt. should be able to run 5-2-2-2 @ ddr400

and scale right up there to high FSBs.

I've never clocked an A64 before, but doesn't running a .5 multi run the RAM at the speed of the multi above it

e.g (310*7.5)/8=291MHz

yup. thats how it works so even so... thats still a high FSB w/ 2 sticks.

and hey u might do better than him.... seems kinda expensive.. am i right thats like 300bucks canadian? £145.00 ...

I am a fan of the ADATA modules.. They have always been pretty good to me. I've had 2 sets so far, 1 512kit of DDR 500 and no ive had a 1gb kit of DDR 500. I havent had a problem yet, and they overclock really well.

My Adata Vitesta DDR566 is also TCCD and 2.7Ghz is not a problem at all. My CPU need 0.025V more to be 24hr prime stable. 2.7V is good enough.

 

He is selling to you for £145.00?

May be I should consder selling mine as well.
