Flytarget Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 I am overclocking my setup in my sig to 3.6 Ghz. I have a tuniq tower installed. My multi is 9 and fsb is 1600. My cpu voltage is set to 1.475. Beside the cpu voltage in the bios it says current voltage and it says 1.44 so I think the board is undervolting the CPU a little. When running Orthos coretemp is showing 59C and 60C degrees. In the past I had the tuniq on another board that died and I peeled the tape off of the bracket and stuck it to the back of the board. When the board died I had to cut some of the material off the bracket to get it off of the board. Im thinking this could be causing uneven pressure on the cpu. Any thoughts on my temps? Flytarget Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 Forgot to mention that both cores are running at the same temp.
kingdingeling Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 Yea, it should be a little lower, no? Have you tried sticking something else in between the Mounting bracket and your board?
Flytarget Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 I tried sticking any thing between them because Im really not sure what I could use. I did notice when using small FFT in Orthos I am getting 59C but when I use blend I get between 47C and 51C. Im not sure what most people use when they post there temps. kingdingeling Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 I'm running a Q6600 quad-core, so my temps shouldn't necessarily be a benchmark to you, but I load at 48-
mattwalter85 Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 Don't you mean your fsb is 400.....
gotdamojo06 Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 my E6600 is clocked to 36000MHz (400x9) 1.568V in a cosmos case with a Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme and after about 20 hours of F@H my temps are 48 and 51 so that can give you a little bit of an idea
