GuJuMaN89 Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 ok so my dad said i can get the 2007 Scion tC Spec but then he saw the 2007 Toyota Corolla with 0% APR for 24 months. and hes like thats alot better than 6.0% on the scion. if i can get the scion price down a few hundred bucks, then he will go for it, i did everything i could (internet pricing and dealer negotiateing) and they will not budge, they said its called "pure-price" and they never lower the prices on the scions. is this true? sdy284 Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 well if he's paying for it...then i don't see how much choice you really have in this matter & you should be grateful for whatever he buys you

sdy284 Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 (edited) well he said i can get the scion if i can get the price down, and yes i have a say cuz im paying for half of it. well ok then, if you can't get the price down, and you really want the scion...why not just offer to pay a few hundred extra? (if you can afford it) Edited December 26, 2006 by sdy284

GuJuMaN89 Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 (edited) thats not the problem, i even told my dad i would pay the extra, but its principal to him i guess. he wants to get a few hundred of the car. every dealer i spoke too wont do it :/ i wanna know if they are just haggling me or can they really take a few hundred off? i tried that too bigred, still wont go down :/ Edited December 26, 2006 by GuJuMaN89
cdoggown Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 Slip the Sales manager a couple hundred behind the scenes in exchange for him keeping the two hundred off the paperwork. It will look to your dad like you got them to drop two hundred bucks and nobody is the wiser.
GuJuMaN89 Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 im not going to trick my dad like that. if he finds out, im screwed. there has to be a way to lower it a few hundred. i cant even find good financing on the scion, maybe if they could give us better than 6% and original price. cdoggown Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 Your hosed. Toyota doesnt need to give you a better price. The Scions sell themselves. Good luck though.
GuJuMaN89 Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 they said they can give money off the rolla, but not the scion. only other way i can get the scion is prove to my dad the scion is a better car. not just performance wise, but maybe resell and safety wise. Vasto Posted December 27, 2006 Posted December 27, 2006 (edited) Your going about this wrong. The dealership knows they have your money one way or another. Tell them that if they won't budge, then you'll just need to take another look at the Civic. (Salesmen get comission for the cars they sell, not the customers they send to thier competitors) Edited December 27, 2006 by Vasto
