xXxCriminalClassxXx Posted December 17, 2006 Posted December 17, 2006 well, i really have no idea what happened, and i dont know that much about processors, but i think its the problem. i have battlefield 2, and it would usually take 2 minutes to load the map. i downloaded the bf2 map editor...then deleted it right after looking at it because it looked to complicated.. since then my computer is acting very slow... it has problems running limewire and aim at the same time sometimes...music starts skipping, etc. it now takes 5 minutes for bf2 to load a map... i have no idea what happened..but i just keep thinking it has to do with my processor..like it burned out or something.. HELP!

Comp Dude2 Posted December 17, 2006 Posted December 17, 2006 Hmm, i doubt it was "burned out" provided you have decent cooling you can run them as hard as you like. What is more likely is a software problem. Did you install that program before deleting it and assuming it was installed, did you delete it or uninstall it. If the former you might have bits left over that are causing crap with other things. Unkownable exactly what but i don't think your processor is at fault. fire_storm Posted December 17, 2006 Posted December 17, 2006 It sounds like it is a software problem you maybe got some spyware from limewire or something else. I don't think that it could be your cpu if it burned out I don't even think your computer would even start. Just curious but have you been doing any kind of overclocking with your cpu? fire_storm Posted December 17, 2006 Posted December 17, 2006 Thats a lot of things running at once I usually only have about 25 running when I use a couple programs at once. Seems like Firefox is using a lot of memory usually when I open Firefox and a couple of tabs I only get about 50,000K of memory used.
