I need to get a new CPU Cooler, anything other than my stock cooler...I was thinking one of the following

http://xoxide.com/zalman-cnps9500-led-cooler.html

http://xoxide.com/aerocool-dominator-cpu-cooler.html

http://xoxide.com/thermaltake-beetle-4-in-1-hsf.html

http://xoxide.com/thermaltake-mini-typhoon.html

which do you guys think i should get?

The zalman isnt bad. If I remember correctly, the beetle isnt too great.

If its got to be from xoxide I would go with the big typhoon, AC freezer, or an SI-128. There are probably better ones on there, but those are the ones Ive heard good things about.

Edit* nvm didnt pay attention to the title

:withstupid: Of those 4 I'd go with the Zalman (I have one and it does great). Don't be afraid to look into the Tt Big Typhoon, Scythe Ninja, Arctic Cooling Freezer64 Pro, Thermalright SI-120, or the Noctua NH - U 12. The Freezer64 will be the cheapest solution, though.

It really is quite large, but even though it is ALL copper it's not too heavy. I think it weighs in at around 1.2lbs. There are PLENTY of larger and heavier coolers available though (the Scythe Ninja is 1.8lbs IIRC).

  • 2 weeks later...

I had the Arctic 64 for awhile but it didn't fit into my Antec P180 with the internal GPU fan/duct assembly attached so I switched to the Mini-Typhoon which works alot better. About 3C cooler at idle and full load than the Arctic 64 and it doesn't sit as far off the mobo. I'm also liking the all copper. I would say go with the mini typhoon. Copper is (in most cases) always better... lol.

you probably had the freezer64 non-pro, like the one sitting on my desk here. The Pro version is MUCH shorter and a little wider, but it cools a hell of a lot better! Both cool well, but the mini-typhoon is not worth the money, if you get something ever from thermaltake, its gotta be a big typhoon!
