cchalogamer Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 If that's a 1GB set of ram, you will be disappointed. BF2 will NOT run maxed very well with only 1GB of ram. Anyway, hope you like it
DECwakeboarder Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 Wrong forum Reed, should go in general hardware...looks good though. I think zzf had some decent 2x1024 for about $200 fyi.
ant84 Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 Which PSU and CPU heatsink are you getting?
dice Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 (edited) get a 6800 GS and get 2gb instead of 1gb :-), btw you dont need 7800gt, its just for eyecandy. btw, get abit an8 or a gigabyte gn something sli, or msi board, because dfi is for overclocking... not for stability Edited January 5, 2006 by dice
DECwakeboarder Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 DFI is also just as stable at stock...also he will have the potential of the DFI board later and not be stuck w/ a board that won't OC as well.
Kamikaze_Badger Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 And why get a 6800GS? I'm sure he'd rather be able to see the eye candy then a lower FPS with less quality.
Reedling Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 haha, go dan show them up lol. Yea i have a 9800 Pro that is fine now for what i do why would i buy a 6800gs and see a little better graphics, rather then buying a really amazing card, and can put all video settings on high.
