cypher Posted May 24, 2002 Posted May 24, 2002 well......i havent used that pc for about a year (was running it as a linux box, dont know why it was soo dang slow) but.........you could play cd audio but not mp3.....it was to slow for mp3. AMD TB 1.2ghz oc to 1.4ghz 512 mb 266 DDR Asus 266 mobo 1-20gb IBM, 1-40gb Western Digital, 1-80gb Seagate = 160gb (currently using 147.3 of it) Matrox Parhelia-512 w/ 256mb ram (this is the best graphics card I've ever seen! ) I got cause I was one of the specially picked people by Matrox to test it. Using 1-21" CRT as the center monitor and 2-17" for the left and right. SB Live! 5.1 Platinum 48x slot load CD-Rom 16x Pioneer slot load DVD (with window mod) 8x4x32 Plextor CDRW (it's slow, but gets the job done) 2-80mm rear exhaust fans, 2-80mm front intake fans, 1-120mm top exhaust fan as for my sound system, I'm gonna brag here: 2-5.1 Klipsch THX certifed sound systems connected to 2-DD 5.1 digital decodors. It isn't true 10.2, but is sure sounds excellent! I'm currently in the process of modding my case and will post pics of it when I'm done. I run dual monitors, a 15" Sony LCD (SDM-M51D), and a Gateway 17" CRT. Thanks to my beautiful Radeon that all of you bastards bash.
