Nooby Divider/oc Question

If I set a divider to 2:1 with my pc3200 RAM and overclocked the CPU 200mhz would that bring my RAM back to a pc3200 speed? Im about to do this one my 3200+ venice to bring it to 3500+ speeds for now.

Another question. I thought a venice 3500+ was an overclocked 3200+, so should I worry about temps rising and stability testing?

a 3500+ vencie is just a 3200+ Venice with a higher Muti

3200+ (2.0ghz 10xmuti)

3500+ (2.2ghz 11muti)

the only thing to worry about is the high the clock the hotter it is. below 2.4 is too low to care.

if you set your ram to 166 than up the bus 44 than it will be back at 3200 speeds but your cpu will than be oced, and 11x244=2.684ghz. which is going to run your cpu hot and stock cooler will no longer hold up.

AMD chips our based on the HTT speed. stock of all AMD64 are 200. it is directly connected to the ram. al AMD64 stock take 3200ram or slower. once you up the speed of the ram it ups the HTT

example DDR 400 3200 (200mhz) at 250 is DDR 500 4000 (250mhz) therfore your HTT will be at 250 and 250x11=2.75ghz. this is why people buy higher speed ram so they dont have to OC there ram and drop the Muti so take 10x250=2.5ghz. now thats a good Oc and a stable one too. you get the best of both worlds. now you only have 3200 therfore you will have to put a divider on to drop it to 166 (2700DDr) 133 (2100DDR) than OC it to stock 3200 which in turn you must raise the Bus to make up for it. its simple math. 166+44= 200 :) and 244 for HTT giving you 2.44ghz
