Help After Oc'ing Nvidia 5500 256mb

ok i oc'd my nVIDIA 5500 256mb 40% and I got css screens like this:

 

 

 

I restored defaults what should i do so this dosnt happen?

If it still does it when un-oc'ed it looks like you fried your card , otherwise just dont oc so high.

then i wouldnt oc as high ... and i also say get better cooling ... but thats my opinion

Get some better cooling and you should be fine, other then that, theres not much you can do.

A 40% OC is pritty massive. Try something more ocnservative.

if you want a 5900 then sell the 5500, you can only OC a card so far

I agree with the others. Too much OC. Take it back to stock and start slowly, raising the clock speed 5 Mhz at a time until you find the point where it starts going crazy like in your screenshots, then back it down 5 Mhz or so from that. Do the same with the memory, then do them simultaneously.
