I have the 550 watt Silver line PSU from Aerocool...this thing is a rock solid beast. The voltages stay near perfect under any load, and it's dang silent.

Spec:

Barton @ 2.53

512 MB Geil at 2-3-3-2-11 1T @ 444 mhz dual channel

dvd-rw

cd-rw

3 hard drives (sata)

9800pro flashed to XT at 440/770

3 case fans, 1 tornado (5 volts)

The lines never fluctuate more than a couple millivolts from idle to load. I love it! :)

EDIT: I don't see how anyone can call a 38 amp 12 line to be wimpy, especially when it holds at 12.2 perfectly under load. :glare:

EDIT AGAIN: Here is the review of my psu, and from what I've heard, all of the new 550 watt Aerocool psu's use the same guts. http://www.overclockersclub.com/link/?http...owcontent&id=73

In all honesty that set up doesn't look like it would stress the PSU all that much anyway?

EDIT: Not saying it's crappy! Just stating that is all :)

that is what I was thinking. I am happy with mine because it is only rated at 480 watts, but I have:

p4 northwood proc @ 3.825

7 fans

3 cold cathodes

6600gt

2 HDs

cigarrette lighter

2 cd roms

a LOT of USB devices

floppy drive

Maybe not to the point that a lot of PSU's get pushed...but still. And yes, those measurements were with my multimeter.

I'm counting on it being plenty powerful to power my summer upgrade (2 gigs ddr500, Venice A64 pushed as far as it will go, and an x850xt). :)
