SoyoJoe Posted January 22, 2003 Posted January 22, 2003 Ok i really need help i need to format my one and only hard drive and i cant figure out how to make a boot disk and how to get into fdisk and format. So yah i pretty much dont know anything about doing this if anyone could explain it too me it would be greatly appreciated and help out alot! Im using xp pro if that helps any? mikeock Posted January 22, 2003 Posted January 22, 2003 you can format and partition the drive from the cd when you boot off of the cd it will ask you which drive would you liek to partition and would you like to format? TiKiGoD Posted January 22, 2003 Posted January 22, 2003 Okay, well if your on an XP pro system right now, you can insert a floppy, goto My Computer, right click on the 3 1/3 Floppy Drive and select format. Then select MSDOS boot disk. You can stick in the cd for xp or whatever and then run the setup.exe from there... Or, like Mike suggested, just change the setting in your BIOS to "Boot from CD" <--- that's probably easier... Share this post Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
