zone99 Posted February 24, 2005 Posted February 24, 2005 Ok i had a western digital 120gb hard drive, that one day got an error...So i reformated, ran chkdsk, and it still had errors...so i thought that maybe it was the os disk, so i tried another disk...still no...So i went out and got a hard drive, and well that hard drive has the same problems..BUT the new one is a SATA and the old one is an ATA....so they aren't on the same controller or anything...Could it bet a motherboard problem?...or a Power supply problem? Or i am just completely unlucky with hard drives?

zone99 Posted February 24, 2005 Posted February 24, 2005 (edited) See i don't understand, cause I got a WD 120 IDE....and this new one is a Samsung SATA, so they aren't on the same controller, are they?I have a Enermax Noistaker 470watt...Which i thought was a good power supply, and a Asus p4p800-e deluxe mobo...I just can't understand how out of the blue it would do this? Is there any way that if I stop overclocking it will work again, cause i am ocing it right now...but i ran prime95 like 3 months ago and it was perfect....i just don't get it Edited February 24, 2005 by zone99
