kurosen Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 instead of taking vamp's route, just use a can of compressed co2 (the kinds used for spraying away dust) to get the same effect
tbone2sk Posted February 1, 2005 Posted February 1, 2005 To put a Phase Charge System is simple words, it is a refrigerator that is compresed to run into a copper block. Instead of cooling a whole refrigerator it is just cooling one block. The refrigeration gases are compressed by the compresser and then sent through the system in a ongoing process to cool the block which is on your cpu. With a stock phase system like most machII's and vaporchills they get -30/-40*C under load, and they cost around 600-900. You can build your own for much cheaper, but it some skill and is a lot harder then cutting a hole in the top of your case for a blow hole. There are cascade systems that run 2 to 3 of these phase systems in a chain, and they run anywhere from -70to-150*C. Cascade systems are the ones that are breaking the records. People have gotten fx-55's up to 3500 with the help of cascade systems.

Guest Silenc3 Posted February 1, 2005 Posted February 1, 2005 Without going into scientific stuff its quite simple, liquid + heat = gas --- gas rises cools returns to liquid form.
