Compxpert Posted January 24, 2005 Posted January 24, 2005 1. You dont have to use anti static wristbands. But its a good idea to use them. 2. You can use rubber gloves or latex glove which ever u got. 3. You can work w/o any anti static stuff but u must be grounded like touch to the metal of the case b4 u handle any thing but I don't suggest going non anti static. (even though I do it some times but im careful. ) Sounds great you can get $500 and pay half of $1000 but dang im 1 yr older than you and its probably gonna b months till i get the $600 I need. Im not even getting a new case. Don't need one yet.
crypt Posted January 24, 2005 Posted January 24, 2005 Lol @jerrdog77 Anyways, I think I'll use anti-static wristbands, anything else I should use when building it to keep me alive? Also, compxpert, itll be a good while for me to get the rest of my money, but I should sometime soon, hopefully

crypt Posted January 25, 2005 Posted January 25, 2005 Normally, I would have to save it all up, but for Christmas, even ask my parents, I got like 4 things. I really wasnt in the holiday mood and didnt ask for anything. My brother on the other hand asked for like 20 things and got them all. They said they would pay the other 1/2 of the computer if I'd pay for the first half. If I could I'd go get a job, but my high school is ghetto and my counselor wont give me my papers until I'm 15 :/ So I'm overdoing the chores and stuff for the money
