ATI Radeon 8500 Posted October 24, 2002 Posted October 24, 2002 Umm...I would say that that is an ok deal on eBay. eVGA Ti4200 64 MB and Abit Siluro Ti4200 128 MB are probably bette rdeals and possibly better cards. Both are good companies. ASUS would be best but they are expensive. Also...Just to mention you can edit your posts because you are going to get in big trouble if you post 3 times in a row with 5 word posts. I'm just going to say this so you don't have the moderators telling you to stop all the time.
tkos Posted October 24, 2002 Posted October 24, 2002 the 64 meg evga card is the better choice actually. It has 3.5ns memory rather than 4ns mem of the 128 meg cards. Meaning that you will get a higher memory overclock. = more framerates <_
ATI Radeon 8500 Posted October 24, 2002 Posted October 24, 2002 Yeah that si why I sufggested it but I was jus t saying a good alternative for a 128 MB card but eVGA is known as a good quality video card.
Vashious Posted October 24, 2002 Posted October 24, 2002 Well, that may be true, but I like saying I have a 128 MB video card better than a 64 MB video card! XD
Xst Posted October 25, 2002 Posted October 25, 2002 I have an ASUS Ti4200 which has 128 Megs of 3.3 memory. I've managed to run at 290/550 but my mem sliders are maxed out. I'm gonna download riva and see if i can up them a bit. I've heard that on some 4200 cards 310/630 can be achieved...
