nvmyz28 Posted October 23, 2002 Posted October 23, 2002 Is this a good deal? or should I go with another type? Where did you buy yours? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=2062437687
nvmyz28 Posted October 23, 2002 Posted October 23, 2002 I should mention - I would like to over clock this card a touch to squeeze a bit more out of it. Is this card overclockable? My mobo wont let me touch it - so Would it be overclockable via software?
Vashious Posted October 23, 2002 Posted October 23, 2002 Just go to http://www.newegg.com and purchase a Leadtech TI 4200. They are 136 dollars with free shipping and handling. Leadtech puts really good fan/heatsinks on their video cards, making the cards easier to overclock. I'd suggest using Rivatuner to overclock your videocard as well. It works great and it's free. Also, Newegg has a great return policy, so it's easy to return stuff if you fry it.
Pendragon Posted October 23, 2002 Posted October 23, 2002 visiontek is more overclockeable. never really heard of a leadtek gforce4
Vashious Posted October 23, 2002 Posted October 23, 2002 Ohh, in case you need a link for Rivatuner http://www.guru3d.com/rivatuner/ Be sure and get the Detonator drivers AND the Via 4-in-1 drivers. Those will boost the performance of a GeForce 4 considerably. I gained 2000 3d mark points just by upgrading my TI 4400 to the Detonator drivers. Vashious Posted October 23, 2002 Posted October 23, 2002 Leadtek is my favorite brand, I've never been much of a Visiontek fan myself.
