Nemo Posted October 7, 2004 Posted October 7, 2004 (edited) I got a new project, 584, that uses FAHCore_82. That's a new one on me and the project is not listed on Stanford's site and EMIII doesn't know how to monitor it. After checking on the folding community forums, it seems this new core is for internal testing only and should not have been released. Edit: I posted on the folding community forums and got a reply back from Vijay Pande- they're are trying to get this problem solved since we are not supposed to be getting this project/core. If you see core 82 running on your machine, stop the client and delete the queue files in your work folder WARNING: Do not delete this if you have completed work units in queue! Restart the client and make sure you don't get another 82 core. You may have to repeat this process several times. road-runner Posted October 9, 2004 Posted October 9, 2004 what happens if we complete it? Hmm maybe a ton of points, or nothing?? That makes me wonder just how good there security is?
Nemo Posted October 9, 2004 Posted October 9, 2004 I wondered that myself. I'm pretty sure that you would get no points as it isn't an official project.
