Desktop-pro Posted October 8, 2004 Posted October 8, 2004 (edited) who said anything about me being 16?Anyways were in the 50k Range and heres a few things about my dad The car will be used for work and sometimes long 2 hour trips to casinos. he does alot of delivering so hell be driving quite a bit, must be comfortable. He never.. i repeat NEVER washes the car. I don't think ive ever seen him wash a car before so something too classy wont do us any good because itll end up looking like crap within weeks. I dont think he really enjoys aggressive driving either. He just gets from point a to point b without doing anything fancy like chirping tires after coming out of a stop. I think he's still geared towards the aviator but ill try and talk him into the volvo as thats would be my favorite if i were him. ive said it before and ill say it again. I think the 2005 Jeep grand charokee is the perfect choice for your Father. but the Volvo is good to, but you can't really work on the engine yourself, if that matters to you. General Lee Posted October 13, 2004 Posted October 13, 2004 Yukon DenaliCadillac SRX or Escalade Chevy Suburban or Tahoe Those would be my number one choices easily. BMW X5: No way. It rides great, but it is what it is and thats a BMW. It's not rugged and it can't handle anything off road that well. I guess if you aren't hauling anything that big then it won't be that bad. For me, I need the 4X4 a little more than this SUV will allow. H2: Don't get me started. I know some people like these vehicles and that's fine. but I believe that this is one of the most worthless vehicles ever created. I don't know anybody that has one of these that actually uses it to do what it was originally intended... and that is to go off road. Heck they've barely even seen dirt. They keep them absolutely spotless. GRRRR... If you are going to buy a Hummer.... BUY A HUMMER!!! A big tank H1 hummer. One that you can't park and it will run over a rhino and any other small vehicles should they happen to scurry in front of you. Oh well, I guess this is just something I will never understand. Anyway, I've got an '02 Tahoe Z-71 and I absolutely love it. Tons of space, smooth ride and I can haul just about anything I want (inside or on the trailer hitch)

cchalogamer Posted October 13, 2004 Posted October 13, 2004 (edited) Yukon DenaliCadillac SRX or Escalade Chevy Suburban or Tahoe I agree 80% only bc ppl tend to think it says pimpcalade instead of escalade lol. But yeah look into these and i would say an excursion with a diesel BUT #1 Ford has had ALOT of problems with there 6.0L diesel(friend of mine is a die hard ford man and said he wouldnt have one of teh new POS diesels bc his dad has had his 3500 back in the shop 3 times and it's actualyl be replaced once), and #2 if its like here in NC Diesel jsut went from being $1.60 a gal and gas $1.85 to deisel $1.99 a gal, gas $1.88, in other words, our 3500 with the 6.5L diesel has been sitting around while i drive my Z71 w/ its 5.7L 350 Now if you want you can get a sissly little SUV or a dodge with that friggin henmi that really isnt anything other than a marketing ploy. (heck u want a hemi go dig one out of the junkyard, prob better motor even with its use and rust) not to mention the new durangos look like CRAP. tell me that aint ugly vs this nothin like a 3/4 ton streach Suburban ok mabey this instead lol EDIT: oh yeah i forgot AWD sucks get a 4x4 Edited October 13, 2004 by cchalogamer
