Can't Save Files To Cd-rw In Xp

Let's see if any of you guys could help. I installed extra hard drive (80 Gb) and after that I can't save anything to CDR or RW in XP. Saving works only with nero sofware. I have tryied different settings in windows (2x, 4x...) and made a long phone to Bill's support but no luck.

Personaly, I can't stand the XP built in burning software... it made to many coasters for me. If I were you, I'd just use Nero... it's much better anyway.

 

I'd check in the services MMC and see if the IMAPI CD-Burning COM Service is set to Automatic, restart it and see if that helps.

 

The best thing to do with any Windows OS when you add new hardware is to reinstall the OS.

 

 

 

Anyway, I'd check the services if I were you, and I'll see if I can dig up anything else for you to try... in the meantime, maybe someone else has run into this. :/

I have no problem with it at all?? just use the project selector and drag and drop your good to go? never made a coaster yet knock on wood

I have a question about Nero:

 

The first time I install it, I had the standart version (with few window who ask you want you want to do), after my format, I reinstall it and I have Nero express!!!

 

What can I do if I want to go back to the other version?

hmmm. try looking for patches... maybe u had a patch that u dont have now.
