cGrUnDy Posted May 17, 2004 Posted May 17, 2004 When I use gamepads for playing UT (or any other games) my TKC looses so many precious clicks. I'm convinced that the best way to play games is a gamepad/mouse combination, but it prevents me from climbing the TKC ranks. I think I'll be playing keyborad/mouse for a while and I'll assing 'FIRE' and 'JUMP' to keys rather than mouse buttons. CheeseMan42 Posted May 18, 2004 Posted May 18, 2004 i would never use a pad for fpsit's not fast and accuate enough i would have to disagree. i have a nostromo n52 and i use it in combination with my mouse to play games. and every key you hit on it counts as a key. i would have to think that it is because it does the function of that key. i find it much easier than a keyboard. cGrUnDy Posted June 21, 2004 Posted June 21, 2004 old thread but I'm still going to answer r_target's question. in FPSs I use the game pad for moving, crouching, changing weapons, reloading, jumping, etc. For aiming and shooting I use the mouse.
