Pop Up Blockers

I am making a website and am trying something out with centering

 

long story - but I want to use a pop up window

 

i have used one like here before

I cannot install programs on my college network - can anyone tell if this above link works if you have got a pop up blocker

 

I am not sure if I am go about things the wrong way

Google Toolbar blocked it.

Using Mozilla 1.6 .. nothing popped up even if I clicked the enter link. Moz normally distinguishes very well between unsolicited pops and ones you intended to get by clicking on a link... like when I choose an address from my address book in my web based email account... the address book pops in a new window.

does anyone use internet explorer

 

thats the main browser it will be used with. its for an artists website eventually - they will virtually all use IE

 

so if anyone has IE and uses a pop up blocker any info would be really helpful

a popup blocker comes with my Mcafee (figure that's way better than most that you find on download sites). But it'll have to wait, oh another 9 hours... that's how long left to go on my desktop before it's done Prime95 pulled the lan from it before I started it.
