Cespenar Posted March 1, 2020 In the past, my pc would reboot randomly. (error code 41 kernel-Power) This time, I had a black screen. Ctrl/alt/del would not work. Removed cmos battery and now the pc seems fine, although default. Is this error any different from the past? Anything I should do? And DXDIAG said no problems found. This error 41 is common, so has Microsoft done anything about it? Cheers guys.
Braegnok Posted March 3, 2020 Been a few years since I'v seen 41 kernel-power error,.. Are you running W10, drivers all updated, haven't recently added a sound card or any USB device. And have you made any changes to your power settings. Microsoft Advanced Troubleshooting has a few scenarios you can scroll through, see if any fit your issue. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/client-management/troubleshoot-event-id-41-restart
Cespenar Posted March 5, 2020 Thanks Braegnok. I will go through this and see what I can find. I pressed a bookmark just now and the PC shutdown and restarted, so I'm going to try to hunt it down with that item you gave me. Thanks again. Do you know if a re-install of win10 will fix this?
