Thanks! Still a bit warm but 5Ghz on 8 cores is pretty impressive.

Aside from being a bit warm at 5Ghz,.. I like the turbo ratios, L3 cache per core, and performance at mixed workload tests running at default settings.

 

But it's not a processor for everyone, and that comes down to cost and competition.  :)

...i think i may have just found the replacement for this aging 5930x,.. and the cost isn't so much considering what you get...
