IUMaestro Posted March 7, 2004 Posted March 7, 2004 So like some of us, I have accumulated a few "extra" parts lying around the modding table. These include an old working PSU, an extra cold cathode kit, and an extra case with a window. SO - I want to maybe run the cold cathodes on the extra PSU in the extra case while it's here. It's actually stacked right on top of my lit Chieftec dragon and it would look really hot if they were both lighted, even though I only have the 1 system running. How in the world do you rig a PSU to run just a light?? I see no way to do it without going through a motherboard.. since that's the only power instigator I know of for a PSU... lemme know guys

General Posted March 9, 2004 Posted March 9, 2004 why cant you just plug in the PSU and then plug in the CC light in? the light would only draw so much power
bishop245 Posted March 9, 2004 Posted March 9, 2004 for the psu to power the light it has to be turned on and to do that you need to either hook the psu to a mobo or like i already said so you can turn it on
