gebraset Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 While Microsoft was quick to announce its first public milestone of Windows 10 being installed on 14 million machines around the globe, the latest Windows operating system has now been installed on 53 million devices. Windows 10, which was released a little less than three weeks ago for consumers around the world, now accounts for 4.95 percent of the entire operating system market, according to StatCounter. At its peak, Windows 10 was being installed on 1,500 machines per second, which includes upgrades and new installations. While the adoption rate of Windows 10 cannot be directly compared to that of Windows 7 or Windows 8, since the latest Microsoft operating system is free of charge for select users, it is amazing to see just how quick Windows 10 is making its way into homes around the world.
