Carterjj Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 Correct slick. And that makes sense horny tonight when I get home from work I will try it again but at 1.3v, also I'd appreciate that slick
ir_cow Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 Well usually I suggest trying to get the max out if each tier before going up. So like say 1.2v max is 4.2ghx stable using prime65. Than you could boost it until it crashes. Than raise the voltage .1 and do the same thing over again. You'll hit a point where that's just the limit of the chip or thermal limit the cpu cooler can handle.
Carterjj Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 I'm running stable 4.214 at 1.19v so far. About 15 mins into second test. First test ended with an error but second on has been rolling good. Running at 45c
Carterjj Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 I just kept the voltage the same as my auto Overclock and changed the ratio to 21.0 and dropped bus to 200 from 216.
Carterjj Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 Wasn't stable lol error in core 2 as soon as I went to screen shot the test.

Carterjj Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 Am currently running the set up stump posted. Got me 4.4ghz stable. Will mess around with it more later but for now I am content with my first attempt
Carterjj Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 Ran OCCT for 2hrs at 4.4ghz stable no errors. Dropped to 4.339ghz for a second but regained quickly. Not sure if this is normal but I'm sure once I get a better understanding of everything and tweak it some more will be doing just fine. Also my cooler kept up great. Never went over 59c
slick2500 Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 (edited) Keep in mind I am liquid cooled and I have fans on the Vrms and the Northbridge heatsinks, so you won't be able to set voltages and such as high. On the last pic you would want to work your way up to those settings from the default, I would not set them anything above what I have there. My idle is 19* and max load temp after 12 hours of prime95 was 58* when I had the cpu voltage at 1.475v, I am still tweaking my voltages as I went backwards and was trying to get my system stable at 5.0Ghz. Carterjj Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 Now would it be best to bump them all up a step at once or one by one until error?
slick2500 Posted October 25, 2014 Posted October 25, 2014 I would try bumping them up one at a time. Changing these wont give you errors but should help make your oc more stable.
Carterjj Posted October 25, 2014 Posted October 25, 2014 OK so it won't fluctuate as much.
