Solid Upgrade From 4870's Crossfired

Hi everyone.

I haven't been watching hardware for a long time. I am looking for a solid upgrade from my two xfx 4870's 1gb. As always $money$ is a concern but I want something that will keep me going for a few years. My main reason for upgrading is BF4. I don't think I want to run dual cards again. So what would you recommend? Would it be possible to run BF4 maxed out with 50 - 60fps with a card around $300 or should I up the budget?

I would probably prefer nvidia this time but am open.

Thanks

Nice card for the $300.00 price range ,.. would be the R9 280X @ $299.99,..  with new drivers coming out the 280X  will do OK in BF4,.. on beta it's getting mid 80's FPS in BF3 at 1920X1080.

The XFX Double D R9 280X has a voltage that can not be adjusted, it is locked @ 1.2V,.. Both the MSI & ASUS cards have voltages that can be adjusted higher,.. the Matrix card will easily overclock close to the R9 290. :D
