graphic card upgrade

Hi. I currently have a sapphire 7770 ghz edition. My uncle is coming from the US in november and I really have my eyes set on the sapphire r9 270x. Mainly I want to upgrade so that I can get smoother gameplay with upcoming titles like BF4. Do you guys think I should go with it or wait for the next gen cards? The problem is that the prices in my country tend to be waaay higher as compared internationally and if I get it from my uncle, I would be getting it for its original price.

go for it bro, waiting for next gen doesn't work because you're always waiting....there's always gonna be a bigger, better, faster, more powerful, coming sometime later...

I just checked newegg for 7950 but it costs more than what I can spend. Max I can spend is $220 and the thing is that I am currently between jobs. I'll be upgrading by selling off my card and old phone here which can easily get me the 270x or the 7800 series.

If you are talking about used hardware in my country, then no. A used 7870 goes for around Rs. 21k here; thats around $200. A new 7950 costs Rs. 40k for the gigabyte one and 34.5k for the club3d one. You can check them here

Damn I'm sorry to hear that, you can get 7950s cheaper than 270x's here right now (even new). But the 270x is decent for that price difference. Sort of like a 7870+ in performance, how expensive are 760s and 660Tis?
