wevsspot Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 If the SSD was originally connected to a SATA 3Gb/s it's likely that Windows didn't detect the SSD speed, and hence did not set the proper alignment.
Andrewr05 Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 When I installed it I did not have AHCI turned on, if is now and.is.installed in the correct port. Though after switching my port the MBR got messed up and I have to manually select my SSD to boot from. It seems I made EVERY mistake when installing this SSD. wevsspot Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Have you tried to repair the MBR? It is a fairly easy fix if that is really what is causing your problem.
Andrewr05 Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 I have not yet, though I know how. I wiped the drive, and then re-imaged it, everything is good now. AS SSD Benchmark score:

wevsspot Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 Because I noticed that you are running the stock Microsoft AHCI driver. Intel makes a driver too Might want to compare the performance difference between the two and pick the best driver.
Andrewr05 Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 Oh damn, I didnt even notice. I downloaded all of those drivers already I just got sidetracked and didn't install them.

wevsspot Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 It was worth the installation then Surprisingly the MS AHCI driver is very good, especially when you compare it to the Marvell drivers offered for their controllers.
