Tazman167 Posted December 13, 2011 Posted December 13, 2011 (edited) so today i was bored and decided to push my overclock high on my 955. before when i overclocked i really didnt mess with the voltage because of heat. But now that its cold i decided to put some volts and got it to 4.3Ghz. Do you think i can go higher with even more volts? sorry cant show proof because tiny pic isnt working. Boinker Posted December 13, 2011 Posted December 13, 2011 You may be able too depending on how low the temperature is but just bare in mind the settings will only last as long as the winter. This may be a good time to set a new personal best at a benchmark you like to use.

Your really beginning to push the limits of the 955 with the overclock you have hit, very nice.
Drdeath Posted December 13, 2011 Posted December 13, 2011 Your really beginning to push the limits of the 955 with the overclock you have hit, very nice. The newer 955 and 965's get up to 4.5Ghz. They are binned chips probably 970's or 980's to get rid of em all.

Drdeath Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 (edited) thatz crazy lol 1.6volts itll fry in days. but good overclock anyway. Nope. 1.6v does not fry a PhenonII with good cooling. I have been running 1.6V on Phenoms since they were born. Got 2 years on a 9850 , sold it to a friend and still ticking....
