SpikeSoprano Posted July 16, 2011 Posted July 16, 2011 Not sure if this is proper place to post this , but here's the link to what supposedly is the new amd cpu specs. http://www.techspot....s-detailed.html Check it out !
Drdeath Posted July 16, 2011 Posted July 16, 2011 Nice find... at least no speculative benchmarks. I hate getting a woodie!
SpikeSoprano Posted July 16, 2011 Posted July 16, 2011 Nice find... at least no speculative benchmarks. I hate getting a woodie! Yes, but they look like they will at least have some good oc'ing potential, about time !
altec.gs Posted July 16, 2011 Posted July 16, 2011 I am guessing it will atleast be as fast and good OC as i5 2500k.
overclock9 Posted July 17, 2011 Posted July 17, 2011 I doubt they will as good as the sandy bridges or I5. But isn't 8core vs 4core unfair in any case to measure anything? Why would they be so fast now? All I am doing is waiting and waiting. And OCing will be back to the whole memory FSB thing again. The Smith Posted July 17, 2011 Posted July 17, 2011 I am guessing it will atleast be as fast and good OC as i5 2500k. See here for some overclocking performance. Why would they be so fast now? And OCing will be back to the whole memory FSB thing again. They could be so fast because it's a whole new architecture that has nothing to do with the current one. Also what do you mean by overclocking will be back to the whole memory FSB thing again? According to the charts they are all unlocked parts to it's as simple as raising the CPU multiplier. But if you want to fiddle with the reference clock, yeah the memory will be overclocked as well, like on Intel systems.
overclock9 Posted July 17, 2011 Posted July 17, 2011 (edited) Is that post from the link reliable though? Seems very optimistic. And the cinebench scores are missing. Same as the others actually. pkilway Posted July 17, 2011 Posted July 17, 2011 I doubt they will as good as the sandy bridges or I5. But isn't 8core vs 4core unfair in any case to measure anything? Isn't 4Ghz unfair to measure against a 3Ghz system? I mean is is a whole Ghz faster? Regardless of cores, speed, etc. The top of the line Bulldozer WILL be measure up against the top of the line Sandy. Doesn't matter if it's fair, it will.
