Gr4vitas Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 Sick, I had to use a combo of MSI afterburner and trixx, trixx let me put my settings past the stupid "limit" and I used MSI to adjust the voltage, nothing else would let me modify the volts. 1000 core / 1400 mem P5923 http://3dmark.com/3dm11/862633 All stock cooling. Gr4vitas Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 It's a real 6970, new score, just brought the memory to 1500. http://3dmark.com/3dm11/862678?key=dCksYwmWnyd9pfCRRkS00J6MEL9uET
Gr4vitas Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 I love how this is all stock cooling and I'm not even breaking +50c on my cpu or graphics lol
gotdamojo06 Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 ran into a similar problem with the HD6870, eventually got it to 1000MHz core and 1200MHz memory using TRIXX

ekiM Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 Is Afterburner specific to MSI products? If not, I'll try to beat your clocks
aaron6581230 Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 No it's not. Afterburner works on all brands
Gr4vitas Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 I'll have it watercooled soon (once I get the money) for now though its all stock so I'm just messing with it.
Gr4vitas Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 sniped out a few more points, it seems that the scaling of +mghz to +score is starting to lack. I brought up the core to 1010 and mem to 1540, had to bring the voltage up to 1300mV in afterburner though, I could probably knock that back a little but I'm not concerned with heat so for the moment im running it at 1300, will fine tune it later. Anyway I only snagged a few more points from my previous score (p6019). http://3dmark.com/3dm11/863629?key=un2kNdKsd7WqFVQcxkBzFpH905yVja
Speedway Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 I wrote a thread awhile back on how to unlock MSI Afterburner, there are a few extra steps when you have an AMD card! Not sure why you are using both Afterburner and Trixx though Gr4v? I can do everything in Afterburner only and all of your settings are intact even after you close the prog! Are you keeping both OCing progs open when you run benchmarks, cause that is more resources used which usually means the scores can be slightly affected! Like I said I open Afterburner, adjust volts, core, and mem clocks, set my user defined fan profile...close afterburner and my OC settings can be verified with gpuz! When I am running benchmarks, I make sure nothing else but the bench prog itself is running
