Nemo Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 OCC has posted up a review of a memory kit that has some surprising potential both when overclocked and at stock speeds. That kit is the G.Skill Ripjaws DDR3-1600 CL9 8GB - http://www.overclockersclub.com/reviews/gskill_ddr3_1600_8gb/
IVIYTH0S Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 Nice sticks, no wonder why I see them in alot of builds. Good price too (and the good review part is a given )
HarryTaco Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 The world of Ram is moving right along. I wonder what Spec Ram we will be seeing with the new CPU offering from Intel. DDR 5 ??
bp9801 Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 The world of Ram is moving right along. I wonder what Spec Ram we will be seeing with the new CPU offering from Intel. DDR 5 ?? Considering the new CPUs from Intel and AMD are coming out early next year, odds are it'll be DDR3. Maybe at a higher spec than the 1333 most boards do at stock, but I doubt DDR4 or 5 would be out by then. Nice review, I've been considering the Ripjaws RAM for a while and nice to see them perform exceptionally.

RealNeil Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 I use 8GB of this RAM in 2GB sticks in two computers. It works well and the XMP profile is apparent on both Mainboards. So as a set it and forget it solution, you can't go wrong. I'm building a i7-875K system in mid December and I may use this 8GB kit instead of two 4GB kits for it.
