AIinc Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Nice rig! You might try googling that motherboard and cpu combo, "Reviews", there's gotta be a review out there somewhere! It should also have some pics of bios settings for ya to start off with! When I switch Motherboards, I google the reviews for that board! Usually get lots of info! Waco Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 There's no exact science - I would say you'll get between 3.5 GHz and 1 THz.

That's funny, I came up with those SAME NUMBERS (but in all seriousness if you have some questions OP feel free to ask em, we can help you clock that sucka)
ChrisIOMUK Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 (edited) The crosshair is Asus's flagship model and gets really good write ups, only downpoint I have read about is the wierd spacing between the PCI-e X16 slots. Personally though I would get either a HD5770 or stump up a little more for a HD5850 with that board and processor. MercuryDoun Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 You dont want the get the 768mb 460... they sorta suck, you would be better off with a 5770 at that point, however the 1gb 460 is an entirely different beast...

adamlau Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 Going with ATI is a no go on Linux (Arch x86_64) as I have had too many problems with their drivers in the past. I'll start working on the OC this weekend, let you guys know what I come up with and hit you guys up with questions then . Awesome forum, great info here, hope to contribute shortly!
