Andrewr05 Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 I was going to tell you that you ought to put a piece of plexigass over everything so that foreign objects don't short out any exposed components, then I saw that you decided to do it int he end. Cool looking mod though, did you end up putting in an aftermarket heatsink or did you just install a larger fan over the stock Intel fan? Some day I want to make one as nice as yours as the last one I did only took me about 1-2 hours to do. (needless to say it is quite the ghetto mod)

Coolone Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 Very nice mod,can u tell me how is it powered on outside? The garden is just outside my window, so I pulled a power cable to the garden table.
Coolone Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 ... Cool looking mod though, did you end up putting in an aftermarket heatsink or did you just install a larger fan over the stock Intel fan? ... I have installed the Intel Boxed CPU Cooler - but maybe I later will upgrade this. The Intel Boxed Cooler is placed underneath the "Cooling - Noise reduction - Hardware Protection" shield when it is installed. Yes, the larger fan is just installed over the stock Intel fan when the "Cooling - Noise reduction - Hardware Protection" shield it is installed. This shield has a 140 mm FAN installed which also cools the motherboard since it nearby have the same size as the motherboard. xPETEZx Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 Very nice! Only critic really is that the monitor DVI & power cables should be run internally. Looks very very messy having those cables outside. Speakers could/should be integrated into the case too.
Coolone Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 Very nice! Only critic really is that the monitor DVI & power cables should be run internally. Looks very very messy having those cables outside. Speakers could/should be integrated into the case too. The power cable is running inside the case the output could be seen in this pictures. . There are some small original monitor speakers integrated into the case mod you could see these in the pictures underneath. But since this speakers not are any gaming speakers I have set it up with the external speakers for the pictures. Integrating big speakers internal to the case is not always good since the hardware does not like the magnetism from the speakers. . . Still the monitor DVI cable could be more integrated even if the graphics cards output is pointing out site the case mod. .
