OK . This is the same as above just read-able.

My Mother board is an Asus so of coarse some things will different.

I would not recommend setting the memory speed that I'm using. You may want to leave it auto . I hope this helps.

AI Overclock Tuner-Manual

CPU Ratio Setting-21

Intel Speed Step-Enabled

Xtream Phase Full Power Mode-Auto

BCLK-193

PCIE-100

DRAM Freq-1934 This Corsair memory is a beast.

UCLK-Auto

QPI Link Data Rate-Auto

CPU Voltage Control-Manual

CPU Voltage-1.275 Shows up as 1.262 in test

CPU PLL Voltage-1.8

QPI/DRAM or Ram Voltage-1.66 Dont go any higher

Load Line Calibration-Enabled

CPU Differential Amplitude-800 mV

CPU Spectrum-Disabled

CPU Clock Skew-Auto Most would recommend Disable

IOH Clock Skew-Auto Same as Above

PCIE Spread Spectrum-Disabled

Memory Timings

CAS Latency-8

RAS Perload-8

RAS to CAS-8

All Rest Are Auto.

Thats It /Good Luck :thumbs-up:

Hello,

These are my BIOS settings, I think they might be helpful ... I don't like to leave things on AUTO.

Here the CPU is running at 4011 MHz, on 19 x 211. By some weird reason on the 19 x multiplier the CPU seems to overclock better, even do the ram is running at higher speeds.

For 20 x 200 I need more voltage on Vcore and QPI, 1.26875 exactly.

With those settings it is stable on LinX 20 passes max memory usage. As well as OCCT.

The i7 920 runs better with odd multipliers, so you should try the 21x multiplier

+1 Strange beast the i7. They like odd multipliers although no one I've talked to can say why.

Have you tried doing a higher Dram Freq? If you change your divider from 8 to 10 I bet that Patriot ram

would get a lot higher speeds .

Haven't tried the 10 divider but I will give a shot later on and see if the ram can handle it.

Thank you all for the help. I am satisfied now. I have it at 3.8 stable with ram at 1600. I did have to go with 19 multiplier. That is fast enough for momma's computer. Now I would like to get an SSD for it.
