Scorpio1000 Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 Hi and Happy New Year! I have a slight dilemma with my next PC and require your advice please. I need to update my self built Pentium 4 3.2ghz system office PC which was built a few years ago and has reached the end of its service! Even though it is still working, I hate using it as my other PC

IVIYTH0S Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 I'd say a self build, and it sounds like you are overbuilding this if you already have capable systems. I'd make a low power/low cost amd build

I'd make a low power/low cost amd build ivi's right on this one, DIY save $$$ and know your system from the inside out....for an office/work machine it doesn't have to be bleeding edge, more dependable and reliable... kwik edit: i took and old q6600 quad and asus p5kc and refitted it for work...thats right !! ...it kicks a$$... root demon Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 To answer ur first question i would go with a self build. I was debating this a while ago and made a decision to build mine on my own. Not only did i save money, but i also had alot of fun doing it and ull know ur pc inside out aswell...
