Looking for a good heatsink.

I'm going to be buying a new motherboard and CPU but I wanted to know what is a good heat sink for a AM3 socket motherboard? I may be only getting a higher end duel core CPU for now but I do plan on getting a much better quad core CPU later.

I highly recommend this heat sink, its cheap, I recently installed it a week ago and it cools my quad at 3.6/1.45vcore under load high 50's and idles at 33-38 on four cores. I only have one 120mm fan set on low 1000 rpm push configuration and this heat sink is great.

Too tall. Would not fit in my case. The Cooler Master GeminII S is a lot more flat plus the Cooler Master case I already have and am going to reuse has a duct that would funnel outside air right to it.

H50 is good but TRUE120 would be better.. (And I have no idea about the one recommended just before my post..)

H50 doesn't need the liquid to be changed..

Did you mean the Ultra120 by Thermalright? I have a AM2+ motherboard and that is for Intel sockets only it looks like. Plus also too tall.

But, if it came down to the GeminII S vs. the H50 which would be better?

What case so you have

I'd take out the air duct if I were you. You'd get much better cooling with a good heatsink and no air duct than an okay heatsink with an air duct.
