Waco Posted October 4, 2009 Posted October 4, 2009 Last I checked, Linux was a fairly secure OS. Sit me down in front of nearly any Linux machine and I'll have root in less than 5 minutes. The nature of the beast makes it insecure sometimes...little holes that might not get found in Windows boxes are exposed since you can download the entire source tree for the kernel (and most programs as well). I was getting that on my main PC for some reason too, I switched to another and it worked fine.
