ati radeon hd 4850 512mb overclocking

i've oc my ati hd 4850 using ati override,

the spec after the oc as follows...

core clock 690mhz, memory clock 1180mz, and fan setting to 80% of its full speed..

using everest 5.01 (if i m not mistaken-the version), shows the temp of gpu 40-45 idle (day time), and 38-43/45 (midnight)..

during full load, the temp goes up to 58-65..

 

what concern me is that, is it ok to use ati override to oc my ati?, what are the effects to my gc?, can i rely on everest regarding the temp of the gc?

 

*p/s -i'm using win 7 ultimate rc.

-the temperature is in celcius.

you're fine, just try a few games on it and make sure they're no instability errors.

Those temps are absolutely fine.I have mine set to 700 core,1100 mem,and running furmark stress test it gets up to about 80C,which imo is also fine.
