Hi,

 

I attempted to OC my Quad Core based on a couple of posts throughout the forum. Computer booted up fine and went to windows but when i checked Everest OC, ruh-roh, nothing was changed, everything showed as default. I went back into bios and my OC settings were still there.

 

Default

2.5GHz (333x7.5),

 

Ram 1066mhz, 7 7 7 20

 

Clocked

3.0GHZ (400x7.5)

PCI X Frequency - 100

 

Performance enhance - standard

Ram 1600mhz, 9 9 9 24

 

any of ya'll run into the same problem? solutions?

Do you have speed step disabled?

Check your speeds with CPU-Z instead.

I had this happen on an older P35 gigabyte board, I am not sure what caused it but I had to remove the battery for a few minutes and it started working. Clearing cmos had no affcet.

OK, so i tried CPU-Z and it still shows i've done nothing. i took out the battery for a couple min, adjusted the clock speeds saved and exited, my computer booted then reset'd twice, went to windows and i still get the same thing. no change
