Andrewr05 Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 I have to clean my PC area once a week because my room is so disgustingly dusty... Its ridiculous how dusty it is. Its not thick dust either it is a fine microdust that gets into the pores of all my hardware and its just a total pain in the arse to remove. I swear I can blow off my P182s fan filters every single day... Its not just in the PC either, its on it, over it and through it. On the monitor, on the lcd area (I clean that once a week too), on my keyboard, on my muse pad and on the mouse... I mean honestly what the hell causes so much dust? I change my beddings once a week, sometimes every other week, I try to vacuum at least once a week and still its just nasty in here. Short of making this bedroom an effing processor manufacturing plant type setup () what the hell do I do? How dusty do your pcs get? Crazy_Nate Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 We've been having some pollen problems recently... Since I don't have AC in my room, the windows need to stay open. I have a couple pine trees right outside my room. I just cleaned a thin layer of green off of everything. Good thing I have fan filters! Verran Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 Do you have wood floors? Anything non-carpet will make it a lot worse. Carpet will just eat the dust, which is even more gross in the long run (IMO). I have hard wood floors and dust is a major problem, but I don't have a super awesome solution. Savan Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 I would suggest against the ionic breeze. It works by ionizing the air to move it through the filter. Ionize is a fancy term for static charge. I wouldn't recommend one near sensitive electronics. I have a heppa filter in my computer room, but the replacement filters are rather pricey. My bedroom had a lot of lint and dust floating in the air, not exactly sure what the cause was since the rest of my apartment didn't seem to have that problem. So I bought a small air purifier (cost me less than $50), set it on high, and walked away. Later that day, the entire room was devoid of the level of lint and dust that was so pervasive just a few hours earlier. I didn't think it was going to work, so I was amazed at how well it worked.
