Kuronin Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 Ok guys, I have a question. When you run 3Dmark06 what resolution do you get to advertise as your score? Does the score have to be in your native res? Or can it be lower say 1024x768. Is there a standard or something?
Turophiliac Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 usually people use the resolution that 3Dmark automatically goes to when you start it. and if you just have the demo, its the only resolution you can actually test on. just checked, 1280 x 1024 is the res people use. kingdingeling Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 1280x1024 is the regular resolution.
Waco Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 1280x1024 is the regular resolution. Unless it's at the standard resolution the score is meaningless.

Kuronin Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 Ok guys, thanks for clearing that up. I have one more question. I have a 3870 and I ran it and got 9800ish, I overclocked it to 900 core 1300 memory and got 10400ish, is that a "good" overclock? Or am I bottlenecking somewhere? I only ask because I have a 8600GT on a Celeron 440 and OC'd it, it went from 2200ish to 3400ish which over a 50% improvement with absolutely NO artifacts. Also, what do you guys usually clock your 3870 to?
