Syngensmyth Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 I have 2x256 MB Sticks if you're interested. I havent had any real problems with eBay but I only use it when Im looking for something I couldnt normally find. Thanks but I already have 2x256. I need to get to 1GB. Question was not so much eBay but the dirt cheap ram. I guess for the price it's not much of a risk but just wondered if anyone else had ever used this kind of stuff. XiXVenomXiX Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 Hey the RAM has a lifetime warranty AND a cartoon with his thumbs up, WHAT CAN GO WRONG? hmm last time I used non-name brand RAM my computer wouldnt POST. Maybe you would have better luck but I wouldnt advise it.
Syngensmyth Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 LOL That's what I'm afraid off ... always looking for a free lunch. I hate putting much money in this thing but it still works for the task at hand (just needs a little more room to keep QuickBooks upgrade happy. Phil Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 For a similar price you should be able to get a name brand on ebay. I'd stick with something I recognized even if it was a used and tested pull from a junked computer. If you add the word "lot" to your ebay search it should show a lot more listings. airman Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 I have two Hynix 512MB DDR PC2700 (PC333). Paul more than likely not as the RAM he is looking for is SDR instead of DDR
