Q8200 Vs. Q9550, Worth The Extra $100?

Recommended Posts

So I just purchased the Q8200, but I noticed that for about $100 more I could have picked up the Q9550. Being big on the latest games, will I notice any increase in performance on the Q9550 over the Q8200? It's not too late for me to exchange, but I'll have to act quick. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Three times the L2 Cache plus a 500MHz clock advantage? Yeah, that thing will perform better. Won't be absolutely day/night but games benefit a lot from L2 cache as well as many other apps. I'm sure there's other stuff boosting it like a bigger multiplier(makes overclocking a bit easier, etc) that justify the price. Still, that's an extra $126 you're going to be tossing out the window...

Edit: Beaten while typing...
