zfanatik336 Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 Hey guys, first post Sorry if this isn't the right forum. I was trying to pick in between this and the motherboard forum and, well... I'm gonna be getting a pretty good computer soon. I've picked out the Gigabyte X48T-DQ6 motherboard because it has everything I need. I'm planning on throwing it into the Thermaltake Armor casing with a 250MM side intake fan. Now the problem is the X48T-DQ6 doesn't have enough connectors for all of the case fans. My question: Is there any way I can get all of these fans running without having to pick a new mobo?
rud3bwoy Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 yea it connects through the molex connectors duh lol,i have a antec 1200 and none of my fans connect via mobo all through molex connectors that ran via psu

rud3bwoy Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 yea i am sure you can because i just ran 1 or 2 molex connectors and everything connected, nice thing about my psu is that it has inputs for molex connectors but was not needed,so i am sure you will be fine bro i had to run 200 mm 2 120s from the back 3 120 in the front another 120 for my water cooling and 1 for my pump and they all connected fine i am sure u have less

crazy8s846 Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 I run one 200mm, 3x 120mm case fans, one uv fan in the side panel, 4 fans on the rad. which is a total of 9 fans, and use all the fan conecctors that are on the board except two, one of them is connected to my water pump and the chipset fan is not used, if i could figure out a way to put another fan in id connect it to the chipset. 4 of the fans are molex, and 5 are 3 pin. damian Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 OK, thanks. Do I need to buy any extra cables to get the fans running on the PSU? the motherboard usually comes with molex connectors so that if the fans use pins you can just the connector, one side connects to the pins the other connects to the peripheral connector. If it does not come with the motherboard than it should come with the case, or power supply.
zfanatik336 Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 (edited) Thanks for the replies, everyone. I appreciate it EDIT* Will the Thermaltake V1 CPU cooler fit on the Asus Striker II NSE without blocking anything? (I'm going for dual video cards in the future, so blocking = big no no!)
