Crazy_Nate Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 Hello. Have you set the RAM voltages back to the required values?
My_Inner_Fred Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 Hello. Have you set the RAM voltages back to the required values? The Ram voltages are at normal. but when i went to bios to check i saw that the FSB voltages where 1.3 so i put it to default but i still get the blue screen of death... Crazy_Nate Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 Normal for the memory, or default voltage in BIOS? Those are usually not the same. What was the BSOD (which error)? I'd say boot from the memtest86 CD and verify that everything is running correctly.

Crazy_Nate Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 I set all the the voltages on default and are you asking what error was on the blue screen of death? Set the voltage manually, to the exact value from the manufacturer. Default voltages in BIOS for RAM are usually lower than what is required. Yes. As a side note, if these cropped up after you changed your BIOS settings, that is probably where you should be looking at regaining stability. I would recommend running memtest86 to verify that your settings are indeed sufficient.

Crazy_Nate Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 Where do i get memtest86? I dont crash when im in safe mode http://www.memtest86.com/download.html I would download and burn the ISO, then boot from the CD. Run tests #5 & #8 for 10 passes (you want no errors) and then a couple hours on all tests.
jack_of_java Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 Have you installed any new components? Sometimes new hardware drivers may be corrupt or not even the right ones for your system. Just a possibility.

Syngensmyth Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 Why did you revert to default settings? I thought you had oc'ed this somewhat. Have you followed Nate's advice to manually set the ram voltage to manufacturer's suggested settings?
