EllisD Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 Again, I apologize for it taking so long for an update. Work has been quite hectic and seeing that i spend a lot of time manipulating images at work, the last thing that was on my mind when i get home is to continue doing just that, lol. But...on with the show! Here is where i attached the CPU block. It is quite a simple procedure so i will just add the pictures and you can follow along as you scroll. click for full image click for full image click for full image click for full image click for full image click for full image click for full image click for full image click for full image click for full image click for full image click for full image After having the block mounted, i took it apart again to check contact. click for full image click for full image I was happy with that, so i put it all back together afterwards More in a few, just uploading more pics. EllisD Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 There are the only 2 things that i did to my case to aid with the fitting of the equipment. I was going to cut a few holes in the motherboard tray to route cables, but opted against it in a spur of the moment decision. I may do it further down the road, but the cables didnt end up in the way so im not too worried. My templates for the holes and the cutout click for full image Taped off and ready to cut click for full image Holes drilled and case cut click for full image Tape removed click for full image click for full image Ummm yea. I'm sure you can tell from that last picture that things are a little crooked. This is what you get for not properly taking your time. The holes werent too far off so i just had to drill them out with a bit 1 size bigger. The harddrive cage taped up and marked click for full image Pump placement click for full image Pump mounted (top) click for full image Pump mounted (bottom) click for full image The pump came with a foam padding attached to the bottom (I am unsure if they all do, or if it was from the previous owner) and i decided to use thick rubber washers on the top and bottom to minimize any vibrations. I think thats about it other than assembly. I only had 2 hands and was very eager to get things together, so i dont have a whole lot of pictures of that process. I will see what i have and post them up soon though.
